What the match score is, and is not
It is a triage tool. Knowing what it measures stops you from over-reading a number.
What it measures
How closely your parsed experience, skills, and seniority line up with the requirements written into that specific posting. A high score means the overlap is real and the posting is worth your time first.
What it does not measure
Your odds of being hired. It cannot see hiring volume, internal referrals, or how a team actually weights its own requirements, so a moderate score on a role you want is still worth applying to.

How does this work?+
You upload a resume. Our AI service parses it, pulling out your roles, skills, and seniority, then scores that profile against every open role we track. What comes back is a list sorted by match score, each entry carrying the job description and a link to the original posting.
Do I have to fill in any forms?+
No. The resume is the only required input. Everything else is read from the document itself. The career goal field is optional and only there if you want to steer the results toward a direction.
Do I need an account?+
No. You can upload a resume and get matched roles as a guest. Signing in keeps your recommendations so they are still there when you come back, and lifts the guest rate limit of three runs per minute.
What do I need to upload?+
Your resume as a PDF, DOC, or DOCX under 5 MB. That is the only required input. The career goal field is optional.
How long does the match take?+
Resume parsing runs on the AI service and usually takes up to about three minutes. Keep the tab open. The progress list shows which stage it is on.
What does the career goal field change?+
It steers the matcher. Leaving it blank matches purely on what is in your resume; naming a target role, seniority, or location biases the results toward it. If a first run returns nothing useful, adding a goal is the thing to try.
Where do the roles come from?+
Openings tracked by AllyNerds, plus any job links you have added to your own account. Each one carries a link straight to the original posting so you apply at the source.
What does the match percentage mean?+
How closely your parsed experience and skills line up with the requirements in that posting. It is a ranking signal for deciding what to read first, not a prediction of whether you will be hired.
Is my resume shared with anyone?+
No. It is parsed to generate your matches and stored against your own account or guest id. Nothing is sent to any employer on your behalf.
